These terms cover SaveJC.org, run by Save Jersey City. By signing the petition you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
The petition
Signing shows your support. It isn’t a formal petition under New Jersey election or municipal law, and it doesn’t put anything on a ballot.
- Sign only for yourself, with your real name and home address.
- Sign once.
- We may remove signatures that look fake, duplicated or made in bad faith.
Texts and calls
Giving a phone number is optional. If you give one, you agree that Save Jersey City may text and call you at that number about this campaign, including with automated systems and prerecorded messages. You don’t have to agree to this to sign: leave the phone field blank.
- Give only a number that is yours.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop texts. Reply HELP for help.
- Carriers aren’t liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- To stop calls, tell the caller or email team@savejc.org.
By signing you agree that we may email you about this campaign. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Postcards
If you ask us to mail postcards:
- You authorize us to print and mail postcards in your name, with your home address as the return address, to the officials shown before you send.
- Your note must be your own words, with no threats, harassment or obscenity.
- We read every note before mailing. We may mail a postcard without its note, or not mail it. We don’t change your words.
- Postcards are free to you.
- Once mailed, they can’t be recalled.
The calculator
The calculator gives estimates from public records and the assumptions it states. It isn’t tax, legal or financial advice. Your actual taxes and rent will depend on decisions not yet made.
Using the site
- Don’t use bots or scripts to sign or to flood the form.
- Don’t try to break into or overload the site.
- The site’s content belongs to Save Jersey City. You may share the petition and your calculator results.
No warranty
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Save Jersey City isn’t liable for indirect or consequential damages from using it.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the date and version above change. Each signature records the version in force when it was made.
Law
New Jersey law governs these terms.
